The seniors didn't get to celebrate graduation with a festive balloon launch because PETA said latex balloons kill animals. The Balloon Council says they don't.
"While it's true some animals may chew latex balloons, we haven't found any direct evidence that that was the cause of death," said [Balloon Council spokesman] Pete McDonough. "It's silly to suggest that."
